Fuel plate & starwheel

I have read a lot on the fuel plate. I mainly would like to know how to grind it down for more power and how to get to the plate. Also, can you turn the starwheel too much?

Richard-

See forrest Nearing's photo Gallery to see what a ground plate should look like. As for where it is at it is on the top of your fuel pump under the AFC housing which is the piece that has 4 screws holding it down.

well, that's not exactly what it should look like, but it works for me

putting a curve on the bottom will allow you to play w/ the fueling curve a little more... 'course, you can always play w/ the AFC springs and tension...

hope your clutch is up to the task!

Forrest-

I knew you would chime in before this was over. I'm glad your here to answer some of these questions and to help the members like you helped me. I wouldn't want a new member like Richard to do something stupid like just remove it and leave it out.
Thanks for your help Forrest, I always listen to what you have to say.

You can follow these instructions exactly to get into the fuel plate, except you wont be installing another one. Also, i would reccomend leaving a little bit of a lip at the top, and bottom of the fuel plate. The top will keep it from fueling too hard up high, and making you have high EGT's. Its not hard to do. Here is the link:

Good luck
