Fuel Mileage when idling or slowly driving?
My job requires alot of very slow driving and idle time in my 99 2500 4x4. My truck seems to be getting terrible fuel mileage. Is there anything I can do to my diesel to decrease fuel consumption during this slow driving and idle time? A buddy of mine has a Chevy Duramax and is getting better mileage than me at work...and I just can't have that!
I am only getting between 9 to 10 mpg! Help! With diesel prices the way they are now it is killing me.
Thanks

I am in the same boat sometimes I am loading my tractor or loading something and any more then like 10-15 minutes of idling you can tell a drop in gas level. I have been using Lucas Fuel Treatment to supplement the loss and it works great. Thanks
