Front End Fix Finally

So I finally got around to replacing some parts on the front-end this weekend. Replaced the tie-rod end that connects to the steering box, replaced the trac bar, installed some spacers which made the truck look GREAT! However, my 305's look too small now. Also finally drilled the 2nd hole for the Scotty.....wow that thing is on the verge of being obnoxious in the cab...sounds like a 747! Ordering the 4" turbo back tomorrow and then putting injectors in. Of which I know little about. For my sig. which injectors would be the best bet?

Either 275's if you want a little power increase with little smoke and more mileage and don't want to risk your clutch or a set of Mach 1.6's from don m which will give you lots more power, a little bit more smoke, the same if not slightly better mileage, but might slip your clutch.

If I had to buy injectors again, I would go with something more than 100hp. I really noticed the improvement, but I need more. With the 100hp jammer nozzles, I have very little smoke. If I get on it at low rpm's, I get a little puff. Then the turbo spools and it goes away. Mileage went up about 1 mpg. My stock clutch is holding pretty good for now, but it will die when I add the tst powermax comp.

AMEN! My EGT's were fine empty before. I could get them up on a hill or with a load. NOw with the Van Aaken (waste gate blocked) I can't get the temps over 675 F (post turbo). Even at 500 degrees I'm still under 1200.

Yep, finally got it done Cowhand. Actually had some free time on my hands. Haven't got the DSS yet, that is next. My next project is this weekend with the exhaust, and then a Holley Blue and some injectors. Just not sure which ones. Where should I look to price these? It sounds like it is either 1.6's or 275's.

Piers is carrying EDM's from Dyno-mite...heard lots of good thing about them over on the other board. Can't beat his service either.

Can't go wrong with F1 either, Don M is the EDM guru. Rip Rook sells his injectors and he's a great guy to deal with.

Then again, I have a properly valved motor, so this electronal stuff is all greek to me.

Hate the smoke, but I like having an actual throttle cable (and not having a VP44).

Glad to hear you chased them front end gremlins.....

You can't go wrong with Don's EDM's for power, smoke, or mileage. They are simply the best.

Properly valved? Don't you mean undervalved?

I mean properly valved as in no VP44

Or as in I can do the same with 12 as you can do with 24....

Hope your 305's are as close to worn as my 285's were. Great excuse to go with 315/75's! Love my Toyo's.

Sounds like you had a VERY busy weekend! Need to replace that "CTD" pic with a lifted version!

If you tow now, or plan on towing soon, stick with the Mach 1.6's. If no towing the sky's the limit.

I have 7@.012's...they are pretty decent sized injectors...supposed to be around 250hp at the wheels...lots of smoke if youre into not, be easy and barely smokes at all...however i dont tow and can get from 500* to 1600*+ in 5th gear in about 3 seconds...but the truck is REALLY responsive and i barely ever use my fuel box, which is nice
