Finally STRAIGHT PIPED...(First sidewalk victim)

Put my 4" turbo back system on yesterday and all i can say is ****!

I do feel i lost on bottom, put it pulls alot more on top now.....Maybe new 300hp injectors now?

Well i have a Cummins and it FINALY sounds like a cummins........I'ts so sweet......No drone on cab, no problems...

So these 2 girls were walkin on the sidewalk unsuspecting the big green machine comin down the street.....Just touched the pedal goin past and u would think they forgot how to stand up....LOL

They hit the ground so fast......

Well i'm more then happy and all my friends keep askin me to start it up.....LOL

DO IT IF YOUR THINKIN ABOUT IT..........DO IT NOW!

straight pipe is the only way to fly!!

FastSS Jul 25, 2004 01:31 PM

funny I always thought that... then I put a 30inch magnaflow straight through... no loss of power just a huge loss of sound...

Jambbii Jul 25, 2004 01:53 PM

Most people just give me weird looks when I go driving by. I have never had anyone hit th floor before [laugh] but they do freak out when a 4" pipe is in their face and starts pooring black smoke out on them.:D

z1bigtom Jul 25, 2004 02:03 PM

I love this setup..........Hey u think a injector swap will makeup for that loss of power down low?

SjLingenfelter Jul 25, 2004 05:14 PM

I cant belive going to strait pipe makes a loss in power low end...

z1bigtom Jul 25, 2004 05:30 PM

Seems now that it takes a little longer for the turbo to spool up....

bmoeller Jul 25, 2004 06:31 PM

I never had any reduction in the bottom end. Mine spools up quicker w/the big exhaust too. :)

Have you set off any car alarms yet? I've gotten a few to go off. Even just idling past them. [laugh]

Yes I have. I had to go into a parking deck recently. I threw restraint to the wind and let it roar in the deck .... quite a few cars gave me a salute :D :D :D :D

[laugh]

I've only been in one parking garage. Won't be again, too d*** tight. Truck sounds great in there though. :D

I'm not worried about losing power w/ a muffler... a good muffler shouldn't take away any power...

I just love the SOUND!

car alarms? yeah, 5" straight pipe has a knack for setting them off :p

bigger injectors are always a good thing! :D

MossMan Jul 26, 2004 03:02 PM

H3ll. Mine sets 'em off almost daily with stock exhaust. I love when I can get 2 or 3 on one trip out of the garage:p

DZLPWR Jul 26, 2004 07:45 PM

Took me 1 day to get used to the sound of 4" straight and cant stop smiling when i get on it. I also love the sound when i let off, like a rig slowing down, turbo singing away:D . It sounds like a huge monster is going to fly out of the tailpipe at any second!![roll]
Theres nothing better when you see someone stop what there doing and watch you barreling down the road sounding like a jacked-up tractor trailer!![laugh]

I gained spool-up and lower egts. Bottom end benifited from the faster spool-up.
