FASS and FASS 2 What difference?

What are the differences? I have an injector pump going out, and I think I will bite the bullet and get the FASS system. But after all the reading i have been doing, I can't see the difference in the two of them. the FASS system is a LOT cheaper, but does that only replace the filter? I am assuming i need the new Injection pump, so does the FASS 2 system replace that as well? Why is one more than the other?

Thanks
Dima

FASS 2 is just the pump

FASS is the pump and filters. The FASS is superior as it lets you remove the stock fuel filter and seperates the air from the fuel (which is a major problem in the 24V fuel system)

Can I get just the pump (FASS 2) now and then add the filter and seperator later? I am a teacher that is marrying a VERY expensive girl in Oct, and I have to watch what I buy.

Also where can I get the FASS 2 pump?

Thanks

Both the FASS and FASSII are replacements for the lift pump.
Injection pump is completely different (and much more expensive) animal.

They will both extend the life of the injection pump, but if it is already dead, they won't help.

I am under the assumption that the IP is fine, it is the LP that went bad. How can I be sure of one ofr the other?

Thanks
