Extra horsepower???

Hello to everyone. I need some professional advice please. I ran across a website which sells "instant horsepower" thru the use of "EZRaptor module." Can anyone tell me if this is actually all they say it's cracked up to be....40-70 additional H.P. Is this something that will damage my 2002 diesel 24 valve engine in any way? I pull a 14' enclosed trailer and could definitely use the added power at times. Any info from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Myles

It looks like its about the same as an Edge EZ, or it may be the exact same thing. I think it is an Edge box, because it says edge right on the side of it. Edge is a pretty reputable company, and they do add the horsepower they state from what ive heard. I would HIGHLY reccomend at the minimum an EGT(exhaust gas temperature) gauge to you to make sure exhaust temperatures dont get to hot while pulling. They seem to get the hottest when they are inder a load, like pulling something, so i wouldnt run this box without gauges. If i were you, id get a boost gauge too, but thats up to you. I would say you wouldnt have a lot to worry about if you werent pulling, but if your pulling, then you highly need an EGT gauge. This should not hurt your engine in any way. As long as you keep your egt's under 1300 degrees or so, you should have no problems at all out of this box. If i were you, i would also get an air intake, and exhaust(or cut out muffler/cat on your stock one ) for much better breathing, and therfore, lower EGT's. If you have any more questions just ask, and ill try my best. Maybe someone more knowledgable than me will chime in for you . Good luck.

Eric

Check out the classifieds here on the dtr, you will find the same box there for much cheaper than you can buy one new. The one you are looking at is just a rebadged Edge EZ
Good luck

Not really an "emergency".

Moving on down to aftermarket accessories.
