EGT gauge

On the Egt gauges make sure that you dont have the power for the temp not the power for the light but the power for the temp is not connected all the time. Make sure that when you turn your key off and open the door that the gauge will turn off cause if you dont you will burn out the inside. It happen to me I dont know if it will to anyone else but just to let ya'll noobies know.
SD03

Re:EGT gauge

What exactly burnt out of the inside? I thought it was commonplace for most guys to run the pyro straight off of the battery with a fuse. ???

Re:EGT gauge

Autometer instructions state to connect to 12v power source. They do not say "switched". Perhaps an e-mail to tech info would be in order.
Are you referring to a different flavor of gauge?
