Edge only reads 40lbs???

Just wondering you guys who have the Edge Juice with Attitude does your boost gauge according to the Edge read more then 40lbs? I have heard that and hope its not true, cause who nows were I am at now for boost(mine flys up to 40-42 and dosn't go any higher) As far as I know the Edge gets its readings from the MAP sensor. Or is it maybe the MAP sensor can only read 40 psi?? I'm a little freaked because stock head bolts and recently crancked up the waste gate rod all the way on my Super Stock 62 and have only seen 42psi. Any thoughts would be great

stock map sensor can only read 60psi, they sell after market ones that can read higher.

I suggested this awhile back to another member, if you are looking to keep the Juice w/ Attitude why not set the boost to a different parameter to monitor on the Attitude monitor and purchase a boost gauge and mount it on the steering column.

Well if the Edge reading the MAP sensor will read 60lbs then I am safe plus I like a clean unclutered look inside.

Exactly, that is what I did. People kept telling me ya attitude will read as high as 60psi, I said well I know my II Silver Bullet can push a lot more than 42psi. So I found a good looking pillar mount that will hold both a guage pod and the attitude...And what do you know; I am getting the correct reading on the mechanical guage....

It wasnt stuck at 42, but that is the highest it would read. And with what my rig is running I wanted to make sure I was getting the proper boost and performance. So I got the mechanical boost guage and pillar mount, and it only cost maybe 110 greens...So it was worth it to know what boost your runnin...

UH OH! so just to be clear your Edge would only read up to 42lbs??? So hypothetically my gauge could read 42psi but actually it could be 50+........... Now I'm scared...

Ya possibly. Might be wise to invest in studs. That way you can use the full potential of your Turbo. But with a superstock, I do not know what that thing is capable of. But I was told stock studs can handle up to 53lbs, but I could be mistaken...It is definately wise to invest in the above mentioned so you can monitor those parameters.

I know the Juice w/ Attitude will read up to 99 PSI. They told me and another friend that the STOCK map sensor only reads 42 PSI and that aftermarket map sensors can be purchased. I still feel it would be cheaper to purchase a boost gauge. Also to note the 3rd generation trucks are the only ones that have a dual single gauge and attitude pillar mount.

Purchase you a kit with includes gauge, tubing and fittings for about $60 and another $30 for a steering column mount. Studs would be good too. I plan on getting a set just to feel safer.
