DTT'd auto's HP capacity?

How much power/torque should an auto hold up to with a DTT valvebody and torque converter, but which is otherwise stock (i.e. not the full DTT package)? Anybody have this setup and care to share? Thanks.

Well I used to have this setup..... I started out at 450 HP and then ran a whole season at over 750 HP. When we pulled it apart to add new stuff to it all the clutches looked great!

Personally I would recommend calling DTT and speak with them. My truck was a low mileage when we did the VB and TC. It is also MUCH CHEAPER to do your tranny right the first time instead of doing it again later.

GO 4LO have a look at Dougs sig he's making some HP. I have put 3 trannies in my truck before the DTT all said they would Hold Yeah right! Get a brand name trans the first time and save the hastle.

GO4LO: I think it would be better to call Bill. I think that you can't just do the TC and VB and have the real results. Bill said to me that they have to update the front piston because if you go for really high pressures the seal may be blown out and this could ruin your day. I'd go for a full setup to have all the matching pieces.

Just my 2c

Like the others have said, call Bill and talk to him. I have a very early (before any update kit was available) TC and VB from him. It was installed with the new band and that is it. It has been working well and I have way more HP/tq than I told him I was going to have. It is going to get a tune up soon as I want billet shafts so I can drag race. ;D

Well, kingofdodge, I can't comment on this manufacturer, except that I have read some good stuff about them.
Did you get to drive this truck? If yes, how did you like it?
