Exactly...that's why I didn't ask more questions than I did. If we were talking about tractors, I would make my own decision...but that's what I do for a living

I had about 100k on my last truck's DTT, Tim didn't put that one in but he did do my maintenance and will be putting in the DTT in my '06. Tim is fairest no B.S. mechanic I've ever had the pleasure to deal with, my choice to go with DTT is largely based on the ability to get service!

I hope this helps

I am not "knocking" anyone, I am just really curious, I have never seen this"high" pressure in the 48 VB that some people talk about.

While the 47 valve body can be set up to provide the same pressure as a 48's ,you will have to sacrifice a lot of driveability to do it.To get 220psi out of a 47VB,you need to have well in excess of 100psi base line pressure, which causes light throttle shifting issues, and generally isnt needed at low throttle off idle. The 48 VB can be set up to provide mild idle/part throttle pressure, and good manners, yet when the TC locks, and your foot goes down, you get a much larger pressure rise, which is when you need it anyway. So a 48VB is the best of both worlds,so to speak if its set up correctly.

I get a subscription to diesel power magazine and in there they did the East coast diesel power challenge well one of the trucks in there said that they was running a billet tranny and a 5 disc conv. from Geo Brothers? so i figured they just came out with it. I mean if ATS has a 5 Disc I figured that anyone could ?..?
