Doggin it!

Hey guys, been a while since Ive posted, workin in the mountains doesnt exactly allow to much internet time haha. Anyways Ive had my truck for a couple months now and am realizing how much of a dog she is, mods are in my sig so pretty much stock. She has 4:11's with 37's. Id like to make her into a performance truck/DD, So what would be a good gear ratio and tire size? I'd like to get 33's or 35's on it and set it down a bit. She smokes when Im reallly on it at 2000-2300 rpms. ANy help would be most appreciated!

ONE more thing, ever since Ive had the truck it will only turn over when I give it a blip of throttle, anyone know what I have to get or fix so that it'll do it by itself like it should? Not a big deal but Im just goin through fixing all the little bugs in it. Thanks guys

Just wanna know a good performance gear ratio and tire size guys. What are you running, im tired of 60 mph at 2k. My dads 24v is fairly stock and outruns mine! I gotta leave him in the dust!

The throttle at startup is an indicator of low idle speed. A quick bump in idle speed should fix that.

More fuel helps the low end.. I don't run oversize rubber but cruising on the highway/gravel roads is what I do mostly with the 97.

I went the other way, put 37's on from 35's having 4.10's. I am now at 75 mph at 2K rpm. That's perfect for me as I cruise at 80 and she's only turning 2100. When I first got her and when she had 31's I was absolutely miserable, felt like I was wringing her neck before I got off the on ramp. Yes, more fuel does indeed help get 'em rolling
