Just got my DDRP FASS pump in the mail, and im looking how to install that thing and I have a question. When you buy the pump, you can also buy a supplimental bracket that is used in conjunction with the vulcan relo kit which I have, the only problem is the new pump sitcks out a lot futher than the carter when on the frame, this would be fine with a long bed, as there is a lot of frame to play with, but my truck is a short bed and really the only place there is room is next to the front driveshaft. But this new pump interferes with the driveshft. Basically my question is, is can you mount this pump vertical? That would give me lots of room. My other option is to mount it in the stock location and just buy some 3/8 fuel line to bring the line to the pump from where i cut it for the relo. kit. Anyone had this dilemma before? I know this pump is fairly new but someone may have had this experiance. By the way the pump looks to be a solidly built unit, that thing weighs about 8lbs. cant wait to get it on so I can finally ditch that third carter that im on!
