Daytime running lights

I am scrapping a 95 Ram 2500 gasser & would like to take out the daytime running lights relay because it works but the one in my 96 Ram 2500 Cummins doesn't. Where is it? I would think it is in the same spot on both trucks. Thanks

I was not aware there was daytime running lights on the 94-98? Never seen one with it so far.

In Canada they have been mandatory since "95 I believe. They are also in the owners manual.

Actually it became law in 1990 in Canada.

I hate daytime running lights, people around here don't seem to be smart enough to know the difference between them and headlights, and drive around in the dark, rain and fog with no lights on the back of the vehichle.

I found out that not all trucks sold new in Canada had factory installed DRL. The ones that didn't have dealer installed ones so the DRL module is not where it's supposed to be.

Both modules in the 95 gasser & my 96 Cummins, I tried & the lights still not coming on. Any other thing that could be blocking them? The headlight switch works ok just no the day time running lights.

Thanks I'll have a look in the morning. I checked the gasser I am scrapping & they didn't work on it either. I thought that was too much of a coincidence.

Then I would blame the moron drivers not the DRLs. I wish they were mandatory in the states, I live in an area that has nothing but two lane roads, try passing at dusk and find a dark color car coming at you because he didn't think he needed his lights on.

Ya I know, there are alot of stupid drivers around here, my truck dosen't have drl I just drive with my headlights on all the time no matter what the wheather is like. When I'm behind people at nught driving around with out there lights on I flash my lights at them. Figure they would be like hmm lights but no, they all just slow down because they think I'm trying to make them speed up.

Anyone have a wiring diagram for the '96 Ram showing these? I can't seem to get mine working.
