dakota digital fp guage

i've had my guages about 2 years now. i really like them and i was able to watch my lift pump slowly drop to about 5 lbs at wot. i've replaced my lift pump about one year ago and get the expected readings. now my guage will show up to 30 lbs which is the end of the scale. it is now common to see 26 to max. i have not contacted dakota digital yet do to timing. i've checked for lose wiring or poor grounding and all seems ok. could i have air in the line or probably a failed sending unit? i have my sending unit mounted 18 inches away from the vp. thanks in advance for your input.

I have had the sender on my Cyberdyne gauge go bad after about 6mos. and Jegs sent me a new one. It too was giving false readings.

Those gauges have been known in the past to not give 100% acurrate readings. My roommate tried to con me into buying his a while back, but luckily I said no. That horse's arss.

You donkey's rear end. I backed out of the deal cause I couldn't do that to ya. All it was was the sender was shot. Mine went out twice on me and ended up costing $450 in a complete new fuel system (you know that holley black that your running now buddy, thank that gauge for that ). Ever since then I've been mechanical and haven't looked back. Replace the sender and put some sort of adjustable shut off valve in line with it so you can isolate it from the pulsations of the injection pump.

I have had zero problems with my Dakota Digital gauges. The senders are VDO, from Germany I believe, and are used in many applications - so I doubt calling them inaccurate would be correct. It could be the sender, or the ball could have dropped out of the lift pump. I have seen 24psi on my stock lift pump before it slowly begin to die. However the gauges are great and they have an excellent warranty. It's always user preference when choosing gauges.
