Current Value Of 2nd Gen 12 Valve Trucks?

Hey Guys,

I'm contemplating putting my 1997 4X4 up for sale.
Combing through the classifieds makes me believe there is a shortage of these trucks on the market (I have not combed craigslist yet).
What would you say the current price range is on these tucks?

Thanks,

Todd

That is correct, $2500 would be a rusty, clapped out parts truck price.

Yes, it's the truck in my signature and Yes I'm in San Diego, CA.
I'm leaning to the high side for sure as the truck is in really good shape.
I was thinking of posting for $15k and see what's happens. I just put a good amount of money into it and I'm not in a rush to let it go for much less.

You probably will get it. Here's the logic, you have the very LAST year non-smog testing truck with the best engine ever built.

Yea, it is 20 years old, but Cali is kind to vehicles, and a new replacement is 60K plus.

There is a tail for that seat at 15K if you hang in there.

I'd say keep the price in the high end. They're becoming hard to find up here and usually beat hard and hi miles....300K or more

I agree. Most of the trucks I see on the road are beat looking, I can only imagine how they look under the hood. I'm going to continue enjoying the truck and until I'm ready for something else. Right now I can't identify another vehicle that I would want to replace my truck with.

Not if it's a federal emissions equipped truck, a California equipped truck on the other hand would.

When I purchased my truck the EGR and CAT were already deleted. Since no smog checks are required (pre 1998) I've never had an issue nor reinstalled either one.
