Commando Remote Starter - FM870
I am about to make a purchase. Am hoping that someone here has some experience with Commando units and can give me a report.
I had a DEI Valet in my Expedition that worked very well but I like the two-way features of the Commando unit and the ability to start at up to 2500' away and get a report back that the start went ok. I can park in line of sight to my office but it's about 3 parking lots away.
This unit is $170. Of course, installation is another story....

I put a commando fm760 in my wifes durango about 2 years ago. It's remote start with 2 way feature and works great it's the older version the fm 870 is there latest one. Cammando products are good quality and hold up well my wife love's it and it has worked perfect. That being said when it came time to put one in my CTD I put in a DEI Python 881XP it is the same as the viper 791XV it has better range and response time then the fm870 because the DEI transmits on the FM band were the cammondo use's the AM band although both work very well I think the DEI is a better unit, feature wise it also transmits better through walls. You can put in the Commando in yourself and they will warranty it. If you put in the DEI it will void the factory warranty. I hope this helps. Anymore question's don't hesitate to ask.
