Clutch ?'s
From what I have been told, more noise is all really. The spring hub is supposed to take up the slack on initial engagement, but I don't know of anyone that could tell the difference. Most of the sprung hub units out there can now handle the power of the solid hubs.
If you plan on sled pulling, stay away from the sprung hub. I melted way too many of the springs out of the discs in my day. I run only solid hub clutches now. I daily drive and sledpull with a 3850 Iron Giant with sintered iron discs. It is unreal how nice this clutch drives.
