If you take the liner off you can see where to drill the holes from the inside of the cab.
Do you mean that there are marks there from the factory on the inside of the roof, even if your truck didn't come with clearance lights? Like...maybe dimples or something?

There are 5 1" holes through one layer of sheet metal for the wiring.

What I did was drilled thru the roof, in the center of the 1" hole mentioned above, slowly from the inside. I ran my wire thru this hole, measured from the windshield seal and the side of the roof, to the light. Once I had the light where I wanted it, I drilled the 2 mounting holes from the top. I also used stainless machine screws and nylock nuts, instead of the sheet metal screws that came with the lights. Just duoble and triple check to make sure the light is right where you want it ( placement, centered, straight) before you drill the mounting holes.

What size "stainless machine screws" did you use and where'd you get them? And what are "Nylock nuts"? Thanks.

get the lights that are set up for LED bulbs..... color is cleaner that way....... you can also get smoke colored lenses that look really good on red and black trucks...... (other colors as well)

#8 screws, got them from our supplier at work, and nylock nuts are commonly referred to as lock nuts because they don't loosen-up on their own. These nuts have a piece of nylon on top of the nut. The screw will turn easily in the nut, until it hits the nylon piece, then it get hard to turn. You may be able to get them from Napa, Carquest, or hardware store. If not, find out if you have a local hardware supplier near by. Be sure to get 2 flat washers, also #8, for each screw (one for the top, and one for the bottom).
