chip problems??

Hey Guys , I have an `02 1 ton with a 125hp edge juice with attitude . When I am driving down the highway my throttle will just cut out for probably 5 seconds then re engage. It doesn`t do this with the chip turned off.I have had it for 6 months . IS it cooked already ? Have you guys ran into similar problems with your edge?
