cheap HT3B
$385 isn't bad for a new stock HT3B/?? but do you know which model and which housing you would be getting for that money?
Keep in mind a stock HT3B/?? and stock HX35 will be slow to spool for twins.

As far as the mods go, it depends on what you want to do. For a single turbo, this would not be a good choice. You see lots of modded turbos that are big, but have been modified to give better response on the spool-up. This is necessary for driveability.
Tim, who responded earlier in this thread, has a nice setup using and HT3B, with a 26 cm exhaust housing. I have already bought my HT3B and am gathering the other pieces, biding my time as I break in my new block.

To those of you that are looking at buying non modified turbo's it is true you will save money and no one can argue that one, but you need to look at the big picture, if your building a set of Twins and are trying to save a few hundred dollars then you need to stay with your single, stock turbo's built as Twins just don't work well and the top turbo's lag is amplified.
Example: Had a guy talk to me last year about this very subject an he built his setup with a stock 35 and stock HT3B, the last time I heard from him he was having to use nitrous to spool the turbo's at the track. I can easily build boost till something breaks.....at will, I could careless what you do but thought I should pass that opinion on to you to think about.
