Center seat sub - anyone build their own?

Just wondering if anyone built their own or could show some pics. I would like to build my own boxes, but don't know remotely what they look like.

I built one for a 12". Sounds awesome. Only bad part is that I have to slide it behind one of the seats if I want to flip the console up. I tried a different box from a audio shop and mine sounds better. Sorry I dont have pics but basically its a box with a slanted front. Nothing too special.

Pull the center seat bottom out and what you need to do becomes very apparent and simpler than you think. With the driver and passenger seats still in place, fitup is a breeze.

Probably looking to do it yourself but JL Audio (and probably others) make an under seat mount.

Look in ebay there's a guy that makes them, but like the JL's you can't really use the center seat anymore. It'll be too hard to sit on. The guy's company or name is hotboxes, they sell for $150.00 plus shipping. I'm looking at a dual one that go's under the rear seat then I don't loose any seating. The JL's are very pricy but the wood ones are pretty good priced.

I built a console and put the sub in the center. I will add some pictures to my gallery.

The best is that I now have functional cup holders.

Got one...it's very well made. Matches my interior perfectly.

Now if I can just get time to install it....

Conrad, I was waiting for you to install it and let me know how it sound?
Didn't want to bug you. But I think I'm going to go with the rear dual sub so I don't loose seating.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

I did not think that any seating was lost by adding one??

The only bad thing about under the rear seat is that you loose valuable storage space.

I feel real proud when I can build my own.

again thanks guys

to Azcrawler,

Did/do you have to remove seat cushion?

How hard is it to remove the center seat alone?

to Jambbii,

Did you modify the seat at all?

Can you tell us the rough dimensions?

Which way does the sub fire?

It would be awesome to have 1/10 of the info available about a center sub as we have available for a torque plate...

I don't use the center seat anyhow....I have one of those cup holder things from Geno's.
Besides, if I let someone sit there, where would I rest my arm?

PS, you can bug me any time, just shoot me a PM
