hey has anyone done/seen a single stack, i was thinking this could be done for a lot less money, possibly under 200 or so. any pics, opinions, etc

 

IMHO single stacks dont look near as good as a set of dual stacks. If and when i do mine they will be 5" mitre cut that are even with the cab

 

I will post a few pics of some of the trucks we have done. all you can see in the bed is the two stacks coming up everything else is hidden under the bed

Enterprise Engine makes some nice little stack covers for 15$ apiece....you can find them at www.enterpriseengine.com

 

The just over cab high, miter cut, 4" stacks are just right IMO.

My plumbing looks amost identical to Dieseldude4x4's rig except I welded mine up, other than that same deal.

 

may as well put up a few more, not much but it was fun!!

those are just what i want, cummins4u, how much did all that cost, if ya dont mind me askin, those look awsome. The even cooler thing is, you have the smoke to fill them

 

My stacks are a lot like the ones from Jannetty, except I went 4 inch over the tank . It is a lot cleaner in the bed with out all that extra plumbing and you dont have to buy the extra chrome to span the gap. In my opinion it was well worth the extra work to fit it over the tank and have the stacks come up dual through the bed.

Cummins4u, those are perfect, exactly what I am looking at doing. But we definitely need some pics form underneath, with the style that splits in the bed, not under it. Also, what do you guys think about using flex pipe to go under the bed?

If I had a digital camera Id snap a few, every time I have money for one I find stuff I want for my truck Shoulda seen the chicks face when I took these ones in to get developed. The splitter T is offset in my bed, maybe by a few inches. The splitter itself is 4 inch from there it adapts to 5 then short pieces of 5 to the the 90's and then the stacks. Underneath is the splitter dropping down through the bed, a short 45 elbow and stainless steel flex conecting my down pipe to the 45. I tried without the 45 on it but the flex hung down too low because of the long tight bend and was easily seen, now you gotta get on your hands and knees to see it. If you do it I would definately use a T with a center divider (like Dieseldudes pic), it has a plate of steel welded in the center so you have even smoke on both sides. I saw some pics that just use a regular Y. I tried it and it made smoke heavy on one side and light and delayed on the other. It may work on a different setup than mine but it looked a little on mine. Im sure others have used a Y and it worked, but in my case it didnt. Just trying to save some headaches time and $$ if you want to do it, and want it even. Also for what little more $$ it is get stainless flex, well worth it especially if you live in the salt belt, or rust belt for some. My descripiton is sketchy at best, maybe someone has a pic they can show the underside. Hope this helps.

* the "splitter" and "T" I refer to is Grand Rock part number Y-400A, also know as a Universal Y, just didnt want to confuse a regular y with this piece. As I found they are two different animals. Just wanted to clear any confusion
