bouncing boost gauge
 

I finally got all my gauges hooked up yesterday. Everything works great. Tranny, boost, pyro. But I noticed that my boost gauge starts bouncing very fast when I get the boost up around 26-33 pounds. Is this normal? I have the J-hook installed and was thinking that the spring on it is what was causing this....anyone else have this happen?

You need to put a snubber on it. McMasterCarr is where I got mine.

http://www.dieselmanor.com/dm_products/fittings.asp I got mine from Diesel Manor. It's called a pressure gauge stabilizer on the link that I provided. Took care of my boost gauge flutter. Looks like they're cheaper from Diesel Manor also.

You can also use a needle valve. About $2 at Napa.

does this part come with Diesel Manor's complete ISSPRO guage kits which include pressure gauges like boost and FP?

Unlikely...it will be extra.

you were right[duhhh] ...just ordered 2 of those; one for boost gauge and one for FP gauge. They are for pressure mechanical gauges for things like erradic needle or buzzing noises etc that may occur, so I figure why wait for a potential problem when you can take care of it once and for all during installation :)
