Big Cam 1st gen

A buddy is interested in puting a bigger cam into his 93 w250. will it help with stock injectors, and reworked pump, 14mmwg turbo, bhaf and 4" downpipe back. he wants it more for the sound, thinking that a gas engine sounds better with a bigger cam. I have never heard one with a big cam, is it feasable with his setup? Do they sound any different?

unless your turning higher rpm's with twins and enough fuel to feed them, i.e. special pump parts and injectors that are far from stock there won't be any gain. I really don't think there would even be a difference in sound!!

Does he have a muffler? Do a 4in downpipe.

627hp with stock cam has been done. It's not a 5.9 gasser.

I cocur.
Unless you plan on Bombing the <self edit> out of it there is no need for a lrger cam than what you have. And even then your going to have so much freakin power it wont be road worthy.
