hey guys, i have a fuel pressure guage in and have had problems since i put it in. so today i changed the filter when i cranked the truck she said 7 lbs and then right to 0 at idle. now it was in the shop when i was having problems and dodge said it was fine that i had an up dated pump. what i the true reading i need to tell me that the lift is dead? the scrader before the filter or is at the injection pump for the truth. and if she is dead than she has been dead for awhile should i try to force them for a new VP as well?
i do have a warranty til 106,000 and i am at 75,000

Mike You should test it with another gauge, just to make sure your gauge is working correctly. I've read on the boards that DC does a flow rate test before replacing lift pumps. You should just move the pump back to the frame rail. Worked good for me.
hey mike, moving it back on the frame increased your pressure? how did it mount did you have to get new fuel lines etc. let me know. dyno day was cool should have come. maybe we can get one at this place with all diesels this summer guy was real cool.

My gauge read the same thing until I replaced it last week. 8 PSI then zero at idle with no power loss. The same guage now reads 15 PSI at idle. My advise is to replace the pump soon.
