they are a great little set of twins if you dont mind keeping the power down around 500hp they spool fast . they do look kinda small in person . i got to take a ride in a first gen that has a 3rd gen engine with the bd twins on it . they do have alot of turbo wistle but thats to be expected from twins . the best price i have found on this set up is from www.texasdieselpower.com you might want to talk to them and kyle from extremediesel.com i know that he sells them and if i remember right he has a set on his 2nd gen .

Call Piers 1-604-888-4159, I have his Pdr HX40-16 and Pdr HT3B- 26 and they are great, they spool fast and top end is unreal.

I drove 2nd gen with BD twins. Yes spools great, awsome bottom end but the top end isn't very strong. The twins from Piers are nice but you have to lose your heat exchanger for the auto tranny. I would guess with your injectors that your running I would look at Piers 35/3b twins. They spool faster than the 40/3b but have more air than the BD twins. You should be close to 470-500 rwhp area with twins. Kinda toasty with BD twins but will still work.

Thank's guy's for your responses,

I think I may go with a set of the BD twins this summer, I use my truck primarily for towing so the top end power the PDR setup offers I really don't need. Besides the difference in cost! 4 1/2 grand compared to 3k is quite a difference. I don't really want to loose my tranny heat exchanger in the deal. Also I'll need some dough to replace my Pacbrake with a down stream U.S. Gear exhaust brake when all is said and done.

Now if I can only get my wife to go for it?

I know!.... I'll throw a wrench into my HX35 and than I'll have to replace it .

Currious as to the exhaust housing size on the primary..... wondering what the drive pressure is ect.

anyone know specific on this setup? Whatabout replacement cost on the B turbo's if they start wearing out? the HX35 & the HT3B is hard to beat cost wise.

Out of curriosity would this be compariable to an HY35/9 or HX35/12 ontop of a HT3B/22.

They claim 51 psi and 1175 EGT's at was it 500hp? or something a hair lower? dont remember the number.

just trying to grasp the options ..... $2800-2900 is pretty fair any other twin setups out there that are compariable for similar or less price.....................

Not sure if it's just me, but that sounds like the voice of experience talking.
