Depends on the wheel manufacturer.

There's a few ways to measure wheels. But depending on the width, the 5.70" is what I would consider first.

I agree with the 5.70's they will look more normal unless you like them with the wide stance..kind of sticking out look. Then get the 4.5's. I have the Kore front springs which levels out the front, with nitto 285's mounted on 18X9rims that have the 5.70 offset. Everything looks and fits perfect.

The 5.70 is what you want. The 4.5 will give you a rub pretty much guaranteed. Never mind I think i'm getting off track

well the rims are xd series 18x9 and the tires are 325 60 r 18 so basiclly 33x13.50's ... im trying to get the widest stance i can get out of them. stick them out as far as i can. i also plan on putting spacers on them also so which should i go for as im looking for the widest stance the 4.50's or the 5.70's? oh and im not trying to deal with any rubbing so if they will rub im trying to avoid it

You should probably avoid the spacer. There is too much truck there to put on spacers.

+100!!! No kidding

Unless you really like crappy steering and changing balljoints constantly stay away from spacers.
With the 4.5" backspacing alone you should be past the fenders by 2" or more on either side with those tires..

How do you figure? You realize that less backspacing means the wheel sticks out more right?

With a 2nd gen, too little backspacing can cause the tire to contact the leading edges of the fender opening when turning and hitting a bump. Like when you turn into a driveway.

Even with the 5.7" backspace, they will still hang out about 2" past stock.

I would still lay a flat edge across the inside wheel lip and measure to the mounting surface. Factory offset should be maintained to make bearings live.

what is the factory offset? I'm was thinking about getting 16x8 wheels and they only come in a 4.5 backspace and 0 offset. How much will they stick out?

I have 17x9's with 4.5 offset on my truck the tires stick out about 1.5-2 inches and dont scrub. I had a set of 16 x8's stock offest and they still scrubed the back of the fender I like the 4.5 spacing better.

Yes uhhh DECREASING backspace causes a larger arc for your wheel to use when you steer it which brings it closer to the fender and front bumper when steering lock to lock. More backspace causes lower control arm contact. Trust me I know what I am talking about I just went from a 17x8 Power Wagon wheel with 6 1/8 bs to a 17x8.5 Hummer wheel with 5.5 bs. I had control arm contact now I have rear of front wheel well contact and front bumper contact. I have Carli coils to install just waiting on shocks.
