ats compounds how much boost

My setup is an o2 5.9 4x4 with a pair of ats componds a 3000and a 5000, a hotrod 44 from scheid,150 fass lift pump, 150 jammer injectors, propane(that never gets used). fire ring head, head studds, edge comp box, 44 is not tapped, ats stage 6 tranny with co piolit. So my question is how many pounds of boost should that setup be producing? With the box off i see 24 lbs and with it on set on 5 i see around 32-34 lbs. Is that sound rite. When it is set on 5 smokes alot but the turbos clean it up pretty fast. what can i do to get more boost and some more power?

Sounds about right, you need to tap the comp, otherwise its only giving you the power of an edge easy no matter the settings.

do you run into any problems when you tap the comp?

Just don't run your vp out of fuel, if you don't get a fp gauge so you can keep an eye on it. I've had my vp tapped for 5 years now, went through 1 vp, but that was before I had an upgraded lift pump or a gauge. Of course by tapping it you're always at risk of damaging it, but I wouldn't worry about it. Don't stress it, imo tap it and have fun

I'm getting 45 lbs. of boost with my little Super B, you should be seeing numbers at least in the 50's with twins.

I know a guy that I go snowmobilin and stuff with and he has almost the same setup and he's runnin 64 lbs of boost. He gave me his stock turbo! He has an 02 auto with the same twin setup you do with 150 horse industrial injection sticks, some head work, an amsco tranny and a few other things done to it but i don't know exactly what else. I believe he had an Edge comp box in his truck too and he said he could only get to like 40 lbs, so then he went with a Quadzilla and now he's runnin 64 lbs. He said that Quadzilla was the ticket. So that might be it.

So what does the quadzilla do different than the Edge comp box?

Tap the Comp you'll see more than 50 psi.

wait now that i remember right, he had the edge juice with attitude... not the comp box, my bad. But he said changin to the quadzilla made all the difference. I don't really know the difference between the two. I'm a mechanical type of guy right now and don't know much about the newer trucks and all the computer stuff.
