ARP Head Studs

All,
Just want to confirm that ARP 247-4202 is the correct part number for a 24V 5.9. Also, let me confirm installation procedures;

1. Remove head bolt, one at a time, in the correct torqueing sequence, and install the new head stud.

2. Put anti-seeze compound on head stud, and tighten until it bottoms out. Then, back off stud 1/8 turn.

3. Torque head nut until reaching 96ft/lbs.

4. Continue until all studs are installed.

5. In proper head nut torqueing sequence, torque nuts in increments until 115-120 ft/lbs is achieved.

Is this correct?

Thanks for your time.

Yeah same routine, do you mean the 1/8 turn? Well if that is what you are refering to then he means backing the stud 1/8 turn from bottoming out. I guess if you bottom the stud out (screw it all the way in) then as the engine heats up then everything can expand and push the studs up just a tad . I made the mistake of bottoming the studs out the first head gasket and I thinks thats why it blew.
