Just wondering if anyone out there has a Tuff Country 3" lift.?

I'd like to go with 315/75R16 and it looks like the tires are pretty tight on 2" leveling kit. And a 4.5-5" lift is just too high. Makes 35s look too small for the truck

Anyone have the 2.5" Skyjacker?

Are there any other lifts in the 2.5-3.5" range?

Pictures are good, if you have them.

I saw this truck on Ebay with it, and thought the ride height looks about perfect.

I think you can get by with running 315's on a 2.5" or 3" kit if you get one that has longer replacement control arms. You need the extra room on the back side of the fender well. I know the 3" Tuff Country kit has the longer arms, but I don't know anyone who has one.

That truck is too low.....

Try Pro-Comp. I think they have a 3" kit that's pretty reasonable. It uses spacers though.....

 

my friend has the 3" tuff country lift. took a day to put it in because we broke the front bolts that hold on the control arms. plus they sent the wrong bolts for the back of the truck that goes in the middle of the spring pack and holds them together. other than that it looks great and I'm now going with the same lift.

My next truck will have the Tough Country 3" lift. For the price it just can't be beat. I would rather it use 3" coils rather than spacers, but that would drive the cost up significantly. Besides several of us are running 2"-2.5" spacers already with no trouble, what's an extra .5" gonna do unless your a HARDCORE off-roader, and I don't think many on here are though. (but man you outta see the Diesels on Pavementsucks.com!
). The kit is priced @ $385, and it comes with longer control arms....I don't think there is another kit priced this competitively.

 

I have a front leveling kit on my truck and I to would like to go to 35's. I have 33's on it right now with no probs but know I am going to want to go bigger sooner or later. I think the 35's would fit if I had only the longer arms. I found some custom ones at a place called DT Products.

I called them and they want $315 just for the arms. Im sure they are high quality and they also have some other nice upgrades for our suspension like the trac bar problems and so on. I plan to remove my spacers in the future and go with the skyjacker springs but I am trying to determine if I want to do that or just get a 4.5 in lift instead. I am happy with the height I have right now. I could get the additional height with the new tire size. Just thinking out loud here. The DT arms are nice and probably constructed far better than ones you will get in a kit but man $315 is a bit rich for me. If anyone knows of a place to check out longer arms please post it.

I JUST BOUGHT AND INSTALLED THE TUFF COUNTRY 5" KIT AND LOVE IT I HAVE 315'S BFG ALL TERRAIN AND IT LOOKS GREAT. MY FRIEND HAS THE 3 AND IS NOW GOING TO CHANGE TO THE 5.
