Anyone ever lower a 25004x4

So I have the skyjacker D25's on my 02, but Im thinking about putting the stock coils back on and maybe even building some 2" shorter lift blocks for the rear axle.

I like the look of the filled up wheel wells but Im kinda over the whole highstep to get in, and Im 6'5"

Thoughts?

The ride might be rougher with the old stock springs. I think I remember there was a TSB for the older trucks for either removing the rear blocks entirely, or replacing with shorter ones for RVers. You might look at the list of TSBs on Fritz's Ram site. http://dodgeram.info/tsb/index.html

I am thinking of the same idea, I have d-25 springs and getting a little older and wiser, would like to lower the back end once I get the stock springs re-installed to match the front which will allow a better look easier to get in on out of and also allowing better access to the bed of the truck.
Let me know if you get it done and how you lowered the rear end.
Good luck.

you might take a close look at a stock truck,

IIRC on my 4x4 04, there was only about an inch of travel in the front, before it hit the jounce bumper. but was long ago...

i got a 4x2 after climbing in and out of that for 2 years.

If that becomes the limiting factor, I will put the stock front springs back in and lower the rear to level the truck

So far I lowered the back of my truck with 1.5 inch blocks(dropped about 3 inchs).I installed air bags, just in case I haul a heavy load, which I have and the air bags work great.Haven't done anything with the front yet...Still looking at some options like different front springs or cutting a half coil.
