Anybody Tred the G-Tech Pocket Dynamometer?
I was wondering if anyone has tried the G-Tech Pocket Dynamometer available from GenosGarage.com. Their description says TDR and other magazines have reviewed and it were surprised by its accuracy. While TDR should be a reliable source, I am not a member and cannot read the actual review. I want to hear from someone in the real world that hopefully has compared it to a regular dyno.

Thanks,
Chris

I used one on my last car and the 1/4 mile times were very consistant and were within .1 of what it ran at the track. The mph was right on.

I talked to a guy who drags frequently. He claims to have run it at the strip, and it was very, very close to his timing slip.

I borrowed my dad's, and found it easy to use.

Tackett

There's bundles of magazine reviews/tests on that thing and all are pretty optimistic. I've never used one on the Ram but i borrowed a friends and used it on my Ranger a while back. The only thing i noticed was you have to be on completely level ground throughout the run. Other than that it was pretty simple and accurate.

Bummed now. I got an email from Genos and it was short over 100.00 on my order. I called them and was told that they no longer carry the G-Tech. I am dissappointed because they still have it on their web site and did not bother to tell me. I had to call them to find out.

Chris
Before you go out to buy it check out Ebay. I have been told that they are going for a little as 65.00, although I haven't found it that cheap yet. I have seen it in the 70's. This is for the Pro series, not the Competition series. You have to search on different terms because no one selling them out there realizes it is a "dynamometer", and does not use that keyword in it, making it more difficult to find.

Chris
