Air Filter and TST Box Question...

Two questions:

1. What paper filter can I get that is rigid enough not to be sucked into my intake? I tried a Fram and my HX-40 distorted it and sucked air around it! I put in a K&N after that and while it is more substantial I don't like using an oiled filter. Any suggestions?

2. I have a TST Comp. box and I was reading on here that it fuels PAST redline. Does this mean that if I have it on and floor it my truck will go past redline or does that require other modifications?

1- do a quick search for BHAF- its a big cheap air filter

2- despite the fact I own that same box I actually don't know [duhhh] [laugh] Never ran it without the smarty.

Does anyone on here have a PowerMax Competition and know if that alone lets you go past redline?

It does NOT on my truck. It pulls hard to 3200rpm, and then totally defuels by 3400. Which is the same as what my Drag Comp does.

Amsoils new Nanofiber (Ea) filters are sweet. Worked fine for me at 65 psi boost. No dust/debris gets through .... and an air hose with 20 psi blows it clean in 2 min from the inside!
#EAAU 4090 or # EAAU 4095 fits Dodge air intake hose. Take your pick! :)

They are a tad bit more restrictive than my Pro Guard 7 that comes with BD's twins... but fine (actually prefer it) for work, daily driving and playing moderately hard. Builds full boost at WOT but there is some back pressure when letting off throttle. Excellent permanent choice for 450 hp and below, IMO.
