advancing pump timing on a 12v(need info)

what would yall say would be the best place to set my timing? ill have my gsk in pretty soon and was thinking about bumping the timing while in under the hood. also what kind of benefits/losses will i see from doing this? thanks

It seems like most have moved from the stock 12.5 , to 15 or 16.5 , some go with higher , but then a lot more mods .
Its mostly an emissions thing , so bumping up will make for worse emissions , but better performance .
