Adrenaline Surge Updates
#47
This is so confusing . 1000B is the worst tune ive run. I loaded the regular 1000 and it is smoother except when you are just trying to maintain speed. It will start surging. If you hit the go pedal, depending on rpms, it will smooth out or it will start bucking really bad. With the comp tune my truck runs better than any other tune except it has a stumble around 1700 rpm.
My truck will also start fluttering if i am in any gear and run it up to say 2300 and try to hold it there. Its like it dont know whether to fuel or not. Its like the video of jtkcummins(i think).

I figured some things out with this surging issue & wanted to post my findings. I was getting surging at 3/4 throttle, very rough surging, hard to drive around. I downloaded the 1000 file & drove around for a day. I then loaded the comp file [not comp1] & the surge was completely gone, smooth as glass. I loaded the comp1 file & got very light surging at 2500rpm on PL07 & up. I found that my box just needed reset or something, but look at my video in my sig, smooth as glass!!!!! I have the old video, before doing this reset procedure. It shuttered like mad.

Here is the video of my truck before doing the update the way I explained. It did it at different rpms when on different PL. This was also with the Comp1 tune which is now turning over 4k steady in my sig.

Could you send me the 1000 file you used. I tried the 1000 off the website and and it started bucking about 2200 rpms. My wife decided to clean up my desktop and deleted my Adr files.

I do not own an Adrenaline yet.
Perhaps the individual truck's engine's ecm input sensors (APPS, IAT, MAP, ect) are not linear and have 'rough spots' in them. Would replacing the APPS with a known working one or maybe just an APPS recalibration help the problem?
I keep hearing the ADR is causing all these problems, but perhaps the ADR is so sensitive it needs clean signals sent to it otherwise it's just garbage in, gabage out.
Just thinking out loud.
