Adrenaline Surge Updates
#16
There seems to be so many different descriptions of the surge. I get a low RPM surge/jerking (1000-1200 rpm) cruising around town under light throttle, but that was there somewhat before the adrenaline. I don't expect quad's box to fix the shortcomings of cheap injectors. It's easily resolved by downshifting.

alright, i tried the 1000b. your getting somewhere! its much smoother than the others i have tried. wot run, no surging. when letting off the go pedal, it starts bucking and surging. when lightly accelerating around the 2k rpm range and above, it bucks and surges. its like an on or off switch on the pedal.
good thing is it seems the power curve is broader. if you can smooth out the beginning accleration and the ending( letting off the pedal lightly) acceleration, it should do the trick. hope this helps.
By the way, this was on pl10. pl02 had none of this happening.

Could be. Could be a connection problem or maybe even a can bus communication problem? Do you have the pulse and if so is it reading correctly?

The ADR1000B seems to have fixed my shutter feeling at cruise (1500 to 2200 RPM). Fueling seems to stop rather abruptly when backing off the pedal a bit (from accel to cruise) but is quite driveable. I'll see how it works with 7000 pounds in tow on the highway tomorrow. Previously, I could only tow in PL0 or PL1 (which is all I really need anyway).

The only time mine surges is if I'm at say 55-60mph in 3rd gear and ease off the throttle just a bit. You can feel it stutter very lightly. Definitely not enough to try a new program.

Well, it appears that the CAN fueling causes the surge for me with a load in tow. I am good to PL1, PL2 and up surges pretty bad. Also, when the surge was happening, defueling was flashing on the pulse but no defuel is set.

My brothers truck flashes defueling when you are just cranking the engine to start? Does it while cruising also.

Quad, I made a video of my truck sputtering at 3/4 throttle. I can put it on youtube, but don't want to without your permission. Unless someone could explain how to set it up here with media player?

My CTD never experienced this surging at low RPM with other boxes.

Even with the new 1000b tune i still get the surging. I originally thought it was my TC or suspension. I replaced the tires and new shocks. Only to find others with the same symptoms on here.
I would have gotten rid of the AD but the features of the Pulse keep me from doing that.
I know Quad is working on a fix for the surge. The higher the levels the worse it is. Mainly only at light throttle, i can throttle out of the surge, but most of my daily driving is 40+ mph, so I'm right at that spot.
