Added DDP2's, EGT's lower?
Just pulled out my stock 160's (or at lest i think theyre stock) and put in some DDP2's. The amount of smoke is really low. its making me wish Id gotten the 90hp sticks since the smoke is 90% cleared at WOT. Im adding a PS62/12 in a couple of weeks so I might be looking for more smoke right now.
The one thing thats boggling my mind is Ive got a bit more power and the EGT is actually lower than what I had. Ive yet to hit 1500 where before I had to watch that gauge closely. Idle is a bit uneven and it lopes a little. the response is amazing however. Just changed the oil so in 2k I can get a fair idea of how much the old injectors may have been contributing to low fuel mileage and extra sooty oil. anyone else have before and after info to share on an early 2nd gen injector upgrade? How does a +75hp DDP injector stack up with a bosch 300hp? |
I'm runnin the bosch 300's and a ps 62/14. I'm getting 22 mpg city and have no smoke at all over 1600 rpm's. overall I'm very happy with them but its now time to go a little bigger[guitar]

I put DDP1's in about a month ago and my EGT's went up and it smokes like crazy mid to upper revs. Time for more air I guess.

i ran the 300s for a year or so. they performed alright but i dont think the spray pattern is quite right on them. after 100mi my oil looked like it does at 1000mi with the ddp3s.
