i have a quad xzillaraider and when i went to install the selector **** the shinny index washer fell off when i took the nut off the shaft and i can't find any info on what position it needs to be put in. any help would be great. i have enclosed a pic of the index washer and the position i believe that it belongs in.

 

you'll find the switch will just rotate around and around. meaning it will go more than the 4 clicks of switch positions. plug in everything. off is no led, 30hp is green, 100 is orange, and red is 140. is this what you are asking? mines mounted in the dash, so i'd have to pull it apart to look otherwise.

How did it turn out? I have a different control for mine -- I thought I was getting the 4 position ****, but got a Control Pod instead. Has display for what power level is on (OFF, PL1, PL2, PL3) backlight brightness control button, and buttons to scroll through the programs either up or down. In some ways, I like it, since I mounted it with the supplied hook & loop style tape, and can put it in my hand and shift rapidly through the programs if I want. It is also nice to see instantly what PL I am running, instead of wondering where a **** is positioned. Other times, I wish I had the **** like yours, so it isn't so obvious I have a module installed. I might see if I can get the rotary **** from Quad, but I am working on other truck projects right now and it really isn't that important to me one way or the other.

 

ok, got it figured out. for future reference the little tang on the index washer goes in hole #4. but besure that the rotory shaft is indexed to the off position as there is a detent in it for the tang to catch when it comes around.
