4in. downpipe

hey, i was wondering if a 4 inch downpipe would really give me faster spool and lower EGTs? Is it worth $350, or this one

Can you do something to your stock injectors to make them work like 330s or 370s??

Also, i just bought a pyrometer off ebay and should be gettin it in about 2/3 days

how bout this thing, does it do anything?

I got a downpipe for $180. Check High Tech Turbo.

yes, a bigger downpipe will spool the turbo quicker letting free flow exhaust which in turns allows more air to be brought in. More air, added with more fuel, equals more power. that boost elbow you linked to will block off the wastegate on your turbo. this stops the waste gate from dumping boost past 18-21 psi. with the stock turbo you should be able to safely make power up to 36 psi. after this you only make hot air which will decrease the efficiency of the turbo and plus the risk of overspooling is considerately more. overspooling a turbo is one of the worst sounds you could ever hear. it makes you cringe. not that i've done it though

Do a search, there is another thread already discussing this. The jury is still out I believe.

NO.

Not with an entirely new exhaust system either in my opinion.

Not being smart, but you should try to use the search feature, it's your friend!

There is hours upon hours of reading here, 99 times out of 100 someone else has been in your shoes before. It's just a suggestion, this way if you read up on soething you were going to ask about and still don't understand, atleast people's responses will make better sense to you.

I only had to give $63 for my 4" DP from my local exhaust shop... at cost. I put on the 5" pipe and feel like i lost a little HP but I can hardly get it over 1000* on the pyro... so sweeet!!! I need to slide my #100 a little to make up for it.
