Well, heres the thing - I found a built DTT tranny for a 24V and would like to put it in my 12V - sorry, I should have been a little more specific.

they are the same trans, minor change to the converter stall speed but 24v will work. rip yours apart and try to find a 48re from the wreckers, upgrade the pump, converter, stator, planetarys and frt clutch from 5 to 6 disc. the converter and stator have a sealing ring to stop converter pressure loss,

What year of valve body in the transmission. You might better off and ask DTT what would take to make the tranny 47RH. I think that its just a valve body swap and thats pretty easy. To make the 47RE out a 02, you would need a TPS sensor, tach sensor and speed sensor. The map sensor might be required to. You might need a wiring harness from that year of truck, along with an ECM which includes the transmission wiring harness for that year of truck, which the transmission came out of. You might need luck as well. The year of the transmission to match the PCM. The gauges for the year. That year wiring harness and so on....Dodge change alot of connectors for those years. Tricky stuff buddy, good luck...

Do you know what year the truck that the transmission came out of? The earlier transmissions aren't as bad, but in 02 and up its nasty. Kinda limits guys who want to run a p pump and run an RE-48 on a 24v. A even newer transmission than 02 would be a night mare. Depending on the year, you might not need the ecm and engine wiring harness. If you do all that you might as well buy a 24v truck. I would talk to DTT and see what they can do to help you out. I would at least get them to freshen it up with new stuff inside, so you don't have to worry about it leaving you somewhere on the side of the road. Mr Evil, you going to Red Deer meet?

Donor truck would be a 2001 24V and the receiver is a 98 12V
And the tranny is pretty fresh - in fact its still in the 24V. I will have to maybe talk to Stephan. Was trying to post on DTTs forum but it takes a week to get verified.

Hey Doc
I could be wrong but.....I dont think there will be much if any difference between 98 and 01 REs. IIRC the VB shift points were a little higher on the 24v but you will want that with a gsk kit anyway.
