19.5 Fitment Question

Well the wife approved the 19.5s on the truck when i get home in the spring. She wants black rims and centers "Not going BLING BLING on our truck" She claimed. So the main question is will 245/70r19.5 fit under a 2wd 2500 or do i have to go with a 225/70r19.5 i know its only about 2 inch in differance but that 2 inches can mean alot. Thanks for the help

I am going to guess that you are looking at the Rickson wheels. Depending on the manufacturer, you are looking at more like a 1" difference in overall diameter of the tires. The dealer can reprogram to computer for the new tires regardless of the size you choose. They will need the Revolutions Per Mile, which the manufacturer of the tire will have. The 225's will most likely be closer in diameter to the the original factory tires. Unless you really overload the truck, go with the lowest load range, most likely "F", as they will ride a little smoother. If it was mine I would get the 245's. You may want to check with Rickson and discuss any fitment issues.

Well speedo recal will not be a problem since she said i could get a Smarty also so that takes care of the speedo. I was just concerned about the tires clearing a stock 2wd I currently have 265/75/r16 and the 225/70/r19.5 are almost the same size. Just was wondering if the 245/70/r19.5 would clear the fenders at full lock, or if I would have to back out the full turn stops to cut down a lil turn radius.
Thanks for the help
