How much boost did that run? You guys are listing your mods but not the amount of boost. I would find the boost numbers interesting.

Boost numbers are such an unimportant part of the equation. An example is I made 610 RWHP @ 42# on a VP truck, yet the above truck wa set to 45#..... Most guys tend to push too much boost and think they are getting a return on HP.

I did 412rwhp in 5th gear with a 98 215 5spd with a #10 and a BHAF Timing @ 23.5 - everything else stock - popped the head gasket at that set-up so take that as you will :)

But I know a guy pushing 45psi on his stock turbo! Who cares if it is hot air, hurting his power, and risking blowing up his turbo, its more boost than I have:D[laugh][laugh]

drolex 08-16-2007 06:17 PM

Boost volume is important. You need the correct amount of air for the amount of fuel you dump. If you have too much fuel and not enough air and then you increase air you do get a return on HP. Different fuels provide different amounts of energy and require different amounts of oxygen.
