12v to 24v now what?

I just sold a 97 and bought a 00 that has some mods such as dtt tran, dd2 inj. and edge ez but I am new to the 24v engine and am looking for suggetions on the best setup for a daily driver that can still compete on the local level for truck pulling/drag racing.

Wow! You are all set with the DTT to go all out! Just remember to upgrade the fuel system, (ie. FASS). Throw in some bigger injectors, a nice fueling box, and a good set of twins and you'll be happy as can be. By the way, welcome to DTR!

I'm not sure his budget will allow for twins

I agree some bigger sticks would be a good option, my preference would be a set of F1 sticks if the budget will allow, along with a more agressive box, maybe a TST or Comp. Of course then you will need more air and huffers can get spendy but you could find a PDR, or similar, HX40 at a decent price that should yield acceptable results for a while without breaking the bank.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd get a TST Comp box stacked with a Smarty. I love the smarty and the TST pulls really hard

I would make an attempt to find out just what is DTT in that tranny before i went all out. If its got the full billet special have fun but if you're on stock shafts I'd be more careful.

His tranny has a billet input shaft so he sould be all set unless he goes all out (Twins and/or Nitrous).

I am leaning towards putting bigger injectors in after talking to a couple of my friends and still thinking about stacking something with the ez. Rhino is right of course BUDGET is the key!

Are you concerned about towing EGT's? If not than you could probably get away with some pretty big sticks.

sorry, i did forget to put that in my sig...boost/egt gauge. I probably won't haul very much on a regular basis so I think i shouldn't have trouble keeping it cool.
