!0 plate to 100 and back
Have read about fellows running the 100 fuel plate so the other day I cut one on the c&c machine where my son works and replaced the 10 plate that was in there. Now after a few trips empty and loaded I dont see much difference between the two except pulling the horse trailer with the ten the tranny shifts into od and lockup easier it seems. With the 100 up around 2500 rpms I have to lift up a bit on the foot feed for it to shift up. Im thinking probably the hook part way up the ten cuts back the fuel just enough to let the tranny go to overdrive and lockup. Anyway I feel the ten is a great fuel plate for towing and the 100 is going up on the shelf. Thats just my opinion in case anyone is interested in a comparison of the two......

u've got a 94, the plates don't really get aggressive like on the biggger pumps. I expected alot more from my 100 plate, but I guess the smaller pumps need dv's and injectors to be more like the bigger pumps. Because from what Iv'e read, the guys with the 180 and 215 pumps get into some higher egts with just a plate, afc and starwheel mod, and I can barely hit 1050 towing 9k lbs with a 100 plate and 3gsk, afc full forward.

There dont seem to be too much problem with power on this setup for the job it does. With full throttle the pyro shows up to 1200 and can get max boost of 35 or 38 lbs. Could add more power goodies but she does the job just fine now. Only thing I was just surprised at how little difference there was in the two plates. But like you say the little 160 pump needs a little help to produce......

There may a couple of other variables affecting the differences in plates.
If the #100 was put in a bit back from the #10 you may not get the same power out of it. Also, depending on where the governor arm was hitting the #10, you may have not been using the "defueling" part of the plate so wouldn't really notice a difference.
Also, when you don't build much boost, the AFC foot may be holding the fueling back on both plates thus limiting your fuel. If this is the case then it doesn't matter what profile the plate is, the arm is limited by the AFC.
You can find this out by sliding the AFC housing forward, or for a test run take the AFC foot off, then try the two plates. I'll bet you'll notice the difference then when the #100 doesn't defuel.

GSK.. With the Stock fueling, the governor turns your #100 plate into a #10 by pulling out of the fuel before you get up in the RPM range. AFC is also a good point. Injectors help...

Missed that he has stock springs. Good pick up.
FunCruise - if you add a 3K GSK you definitely will notice a difference in the truck and between the two plates. #10 and 3K are still very driveable and adjustable though.

i still have a stock fuel plate in my truck with the bolt holes ground out and the afc foot out and it seems like i make more power with the stock one then the 100 and i added washers to my governor springs and can go to 3400 and that made it a whole new truck but made my tranny give out that much faster

Yeah, probably not. If you notched out the slots, it may be further ahead than it seams and the governor is hitting the end plug. Maybe not..
I don't know what you have for a turbo, but the #10 was more fuel on stock 215 injectors than I could burn at high RPM.. I am not in the GSK club yet either..
