The Buck

Anybody going to the MAY 7th diesel pick-up pulls?

I have a few questions about height requirements and tire size. I was wondering if i should enter my truck for the drag racing part only or if i should consider the sled with my lifted truck...

If i don't enter i'm still gonna drive out to have some fun.

Even if you don't decide to pull or race, it is still one heck of a good time. I'm curious to see how they handle the new class as well.

I definitely want to drag race, but i'm unsure of the pulling event. The truck is greately unknown right now and i have a decent drive home from there. We will see.

that's not what he said. NICK will have the biggest cheers coming from us over anyone else.

Nick you cant run 2wd's in anything out there so you know....

I would drag race the big ugly beast. With a 5spd and 4.56's you could lock the axles and launch in 3rd and powershift 4th real quick and probably woop up a couple of stockish newer trucks.

Thanks brandon, yeah 2wd is forbidden, i already know :-D

i was thinking that i could probably pull if i stuck the 35s on there...but i don't think i'm up for that much work once i get there. I'll be getting my trucks in order starting sunday.

As of right now i don't think I will be there. I am suppose to be in Florida that week but our vacation plans are not set in stone yet. If i do end up going I think i am going to try the drag racing. The truck feels pretty fast with the new trans.

Can't wait for another season at the Buck! I'll be pulling on the 7th for sure, Just not sure what gear yet. 4.10's, nv4500 and stock ish tires. 1st high, or 3rd low? I'm working on fabbing up a hitch right now, and some much needed driveshaft loops. Hope to see (and pull with) you all there!

3rd low If I had to choose between the two ... but 2nd high would be a good choice with a stock size tire if your clutch can take it

I ran 3rd low @3200 rpm with a set of 33" tires when I pulled the stock class at the buck ... its way to slow just my $.02
