Hello all:

Here is the update. We are leaving this morning for Palo Alto staying the night. We have to check in to Stanford Hospital at 8:00 am Tuesday and surgery is supposed to start at around 10:00 am. We are praying that the big C didnt get into her lymph nodes or anywhere else but localized. Just wanted to say thank you all for the kind words, thoughts and prayers. We should be back home Thursday and will let you know what happened.

Dusty

Great News !!!!!!!

UPDATE.

Proof that prayer works. Nancy said she thought the tumor was getting smaller prior to surgery. The surgery went beautifully and we went Tuesday the 21st for post op. The Surgeon came in beaming with a huge smile hugged Nancy and told her that the tumor was not 4.3 Cm but only 1.1 Cm!!!!!! and that the lymph nodes did not have any cancer in them !!!!! She went from stage 3 cancer (not good) to stage 1. The doctor removed a 5Cm almost 2 inch chunk from her to be safe and found out that she had taken plenty of material. Nancy will still have to go through chemo and radiation and will have a 90+% survival chance at 10 years. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

We are giving thanks.

Dusty

That is great! Tell Nancy we are all pulling for her. The cemo is pretty tough, but she will get through it. You'll need to shave your head to show support for her, and we want pics!!

We saw the Rascal Flatts Sara Beth video today. It hits home. That is a good idea.......maybe I will shave my head. It would be good for a laugh anyway. I dont think I will shave my eyebrows though.

God works in amazing ways!I am very happy that the cancer is not nearly as bad as speculated.Cancer is such an awful sickness and we all hope that research will eventually provide a cure.Until then all we can do is pray and put it in Gods hands. You will for sure still be in our prayers.

Brandon:

So sorry to hear about your Grandma & Aunt. Early detection, a good doctor and modern medicine are key to fighting this disease. Nancy felt she had a problem back in February and the doctor told her not to worry about it and that she would prescribe PROZAC to her so she wouldn’t worry about it so much. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT ? It is true. Prescribe a anti depressant instead of getting a biopsy !!!!!! If Nancy was persistent she could have gone to another doctor or demanded a biopsy, but she trusted the doctor. And no she did not accept the prozac.

Dusty, I can believe it about the Prozac. I had a Doctor perscribe an anti-depressant for chest pains once too.
