Why no looting?
Here is something for some of you to ponder over. With all the destruction going on in Japan, I have yet to read about even one case of looting or for troops or police being displayed to prevent looting.
Look at all the massive scale of looting that happened during Katrina. All other places in various countries, such as Haiti, Chile, England or whenever there is a catastrophe the scum quickly move in a loot. What makes the Japanese people so different?

So based on these few replies so far and picking on you 'Merkuns, am I to assume that some of you are a bunch of uncultured, disrespectful thieves with no honor?

Wife and I were just talking about that. I think Lary is on the money. A good worker requires discipline and an ability to get along. In Japan if you dont work, you dont play.

unfortunatley it only takes a couple bad apples to kill it for the entire basket. you can tell the rest of the story as to who voted who into office in 08 with all the HES GONNA PAY MY BILZ videos on youtube
The Japanese are a very disciplined people. They are a very honorable, level headed, and honest people that are taught to respect others as well as their belongings. These values are instilled upon the young via the Japanese education system as well as through good parenting.

In their own society however, Honor is a way of life
No looting because they realize that taking from each other will make them look like other countries. Look after each other unconditionally and things work good. More often then not I am ashamed of how our country and the USA have become so dependent and inconsiderate. Sometimes I am guilty of finding fault in others rather then doing right.

Katrina showed up the worst in our society. Almost all cases of looters that were caught were on welfare, school drop outs with no jobs or druggies. Sadly, it is this populace that the Democrats woo with their gimee lingo to get their vote. Then, they pay for that vote with OUR money. Sad, very sad. I think the key word so far has been RESPECT. If you have no respect for yourself and others, you have no boundries for your actions.

Oh make no mistake, they were a ruthless enemy and showed little or no mercy at all when at war, unfortunately they had the same mindset as a Muslin Jihadist, in that ALL other races are inferior and warrant no more respect than a rodent. Remember they believed their Emperor WAS God and everyone else was of NO importance at all.

I should have been more clear with my post regarding the Japanese people. I feel that Top perfectly stated what I neglected to mention previously with the following: "In their own society however, Honor is a way of life"
