Please put your right hand on this Cummins handbook/repair manual. "Do you solemnly swear that you are not ashamed to be running that steel wheel on your truck?
If the answer is "Yes" then we will let you hang out as long as you have that wheel on the truck. You will never be a 1%'r though......

WooHoo. Can't wait to see that Dually Scotty
I have a question though. Why is it that the things that used to look so great on old cars/trucks just don't look as good on newer vehicles? I like these wheels a lot but still don't think it looks as good as it would on say a 1972 Dodge Ram. Heck, with the older vehicles you would paint them body color without question and it would look great. Nowadays it's not the same. The same goes for chrome too. Old vehicles looked great with lots of chrome but new ones don't. Why is this???
03Ram, Do you want to hang out or not?!?!?!
You guys DO know what a 1%'r is, right???

I got chrome rings with my stock wheels but hung them up in the roof of the garage. Too much chrome. I had thought about painting the wheels red to match the truck but black paint was a couple of bucks cheaper and black doesn't show brake dust.

Here is the "Old" 08 ManVan with one incarnation of the steel wheels on it along w/ 285/70 Dura-Grapplers. I eventually switched over to black rims but I don't have a picture of that anymore. The larger tires overlapping the rims would make the trim rings fly off the truck as I drove down the road. That's why I went back to stock tires on my current truck...

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!
I don't have steel wheels on my truck, but I have BIG white steel wheels on my New Holland TL-90. One of em tried killed me as a matter of fact. Anyway, can't afford steel wheels for the truck but I feed, harrow, plow and plant with the NH. Does that count???

Sorry Wyododge, You will have to go to "FarmTruckResource" and look for a similar thread or start your own.
I feel so bad turning some of you guys down. I know the word is out about how much fun we are having in the clubhouse and some of you guys will do anything to get inside. We even caught RatlRatl trying to pick the lock on the back door. It's a real shame.....

Trim rings? Center caps? Some of you guys are WAY too fancy for me. My steel wheels are painted with Rustoleum hammer finish black and topped off with a top coat of brake dust, road grime, and diesel soot. No chrome lug nuts or center caps or trim rings here. I'm not sure whether I want to join a club as fancy as yours.

Well, you can definitely join as long as you don't mind the sneers when we see you drive up with your dirty plain rims. Maybe we can have a wash party and clean them up for you.....
