Who rides dirt bikes?
Just got a 05 Crf 450x just wondering who else rides on this forum so we can have something other than trucks to talk about. shoot me a pm if you ave any parts for a 450x that you wanna sell.
Whats up Tacoma? I have a new to me 08 Honda 450X. Ive only had it one riding season, so its still a new toy to me. I lowered the gearing for Mtn. woods riding. Ive added a JD jetting kit, horn, mirror, brake light kit, and a battery tender pigtail to maintain the battery, and I also opened up the airbox for some more flow. I plan on buying some DOT legal tires for it and getting a plate for it this summer. I bought this bike after riding a KTM 450 SX for several years. The Honda doesnt have all the fancy parts the KTM did, but it is a really nice bike! I love the elec. start, and 5 speed gear box. My KTM only had a 4 speed gearbox, so it made riding the tight stuff a pain. I imagine that you are probably riding some similar terrain up their in Maine. Have fun with your new ride.
Oh, and I dont have any spare parts to get rid of.

I've got an 09 WR 450.
Raced enduros for about 4 yrs. Have been out of the circuit for about 4 yrs but am hoping to hit a few races this yr. The club I belong to put on an extreme enduro at Red River Cycle park north of Muenster, Texas for Red Bull. The race was called "Last Man Standing" The first 2 aired on TV but the 3rd never made the airwaves. We beat those guys up pretty bad.I believe we only had 2 finishers the 2nd and 3rd yr.
That was fun to watch the best in the world try to ride that course!!

Also the Sam Houston National Forrest (Huntsville TX) is a great place to ride as well. Both are quite a ways from Austin but are fairly simple trails. SNF is really cool scenery though. Kinda sandy so it can be difficult if conditions are really dry but it's also less painful if you dump it.
I'm a quad guy, but have a 04 CRF250 that i took on as a little project.
Ebay's prolly gonna be your best bet for parts. I just bought a full set of (monster green) fenders/plastics, a billet gas cap, gripper seat cover, and rear brake assy for fairly cheap.

I used to ride dirt but ran out of places to go around here. So I got a street bike when I turned 18 and never looked back. Once I get a little money saved up (hard to do with a house payment) I want to get a KTM 625 motard bike and throw some dual sport tires on it to get my dirt fix when I can and not have to worry about loading and unloading and taking a whole day to get some riding in.
I have been racing mx/sx for 21 yrs!!! Started when I was 5. Had my pro license when I was 16. Did that for about 4 yrs. Had fun, made some money, banged up my body. I actually race pitbikes now. I race for the BBR Monster Energy Team. It is fun and they are an awesome team. Mx is one of the most demanding sports there is and anyone who doesn't agree has never rode!!
