The one (pit bull) I had could be soaking wet and you could dry him completely with a Q tip. The big Rottie takes a week and several dozen towels to get her dry and she tries to eat the towels while you are drying her.

Jersey Girl, on the other hand, despises even the word water let alone the word bath or hose.

Wow....there has GOT to be some kind of inappropriate joke in there somewhere.

On the rare occasions that our dogs get washed, it's usually with a water hose and dog shampoo standing in the middle of the back yard.

MM ill be the one to say this cause just in case there is some idiot out there, please dont power wash your dog in the car wash or with a home pressure washer....
sorry just in case anyone really didn't get it...

My 100lb german shepard collie mix gets leashed to my jeeps bumper in the driveway at least once a season with dog shampoo. He gets the groomers twice a year too. he hates the hose. Usually its such an ordeal for him he is pooped afterwards. he takes a while to dry with towels. He'd flip out if we approached him with a hairdryer. Of course he does like to gobody high in the ponds and drink by just opening his jaw, so we have to get his legs and belly clean often too.

Since you're already got him tied to the jeep why not take a quick drive down the interstate for a blow dry??

My dog is only 70lbs he's a rott/lad/pit mix, he will go in the shower after you drag him in. He cant stand water excpet for drinking. If we give him a bath in the shower it's all bad. In the backyard it's not too bad. Just takes two people depending on his mood. He loves the shampoo part, just not the water. When it comes to drying, we towel dry as much as we can then turn him loose in the house. We have ugly carpet so he cant ruin it. If he evem sees a hairdry He runs for his life clawing at the doors to get.

I have two labs and they couldnt be more opposite. My yellow female loves the water, will jump in the horse tanks and if you say bath she runs n is in the tub before you can even get the water started. My chocolate male, who weighs over 100lbs, cringes at the site or mention of water, the only way he likes water is if the washes are runnin and were out with the horses, besides that u have to lift him up to get him in the tub and hold him there while he has that horrid look on his face. I don't know why my chocolate hates water so much, maybe its cus he grew up around my moms stupid aussies lol.
